SIMPal offers local eSIM data plans in 200+ countries. Here's how pricing works, what's included, and how to choose the right plan for your trip.

How SIMPal Plans Are Priced

Plan prices vary by destination and reflect local market rates. SIMPal works with local network operators to offer genuine local pricing rather than marked-up aggregated rates. You'll generally find:

  • Southeast Asia: From ~$5 for a 5GB, 7-day plan
  • Europe: From ~$10 for a 5GB regional plan
  • USA: From ~$15 for a 5GB, 7-day plan
  • Japan/South Korea: From ~$8 for a 5GB, 7-day plan
  • Australia: From ~$12 for a 5GB, 14-day plan

Plan Options

Most destinations offer multiple plan tiers:

  • Duration: 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30-day options
  • Data allowance: From 500MB (short trip, light use) to 20GB+ (heavy users, long stays)
  • Calls & SMS: Some destinations offer plans that include voice calls and text messages — not just data

No Hidden Fees

The price shown in the app is what you pay. No activation fee, no roaming surcharges, no surprise charges at the end of your trip. Plans expire at the end of their validity period — unused data doesn't roll over.

How to Choose the Right Plan

  1. Pick your destination in the SIMPal app
  2. Choose a duration that matches (or slightly exceeds) your trip length
  3. Estimate your data needs: light (maps + messaging) = 1–3GB/week; moderate = 5GB/week; heavy (streaming) = 10GB+/week
  4. Check if you want calls/SMS included or if data-only works for you
